Classification

Solanaceae is divided into subfamilies, tribes, and subtribes, see Table below. These divisions reflect monophyletic clades based on the most recently published Solanaceae phylogeny by Deanna et al. (2025) with high species-level sampling (1,474 species of the c. 2,800, 53%).
